Make their "what would you like?" an easy one.
Hints that actually help.
Add the size, colour or edition you would love in your notes, so nobody has to make a hopeful guess.
Little treats to bigger wishes.
Include a mix of ideas and set priorities. People can choose a gift that suits them without losing sight of your favourites.
Fewer birthday doubles.
Givers can see reservation and purchase status on shared lists. A little coordination helps the same present avoid turning up twice.
How your wishlist works.
Three straightforward steps, from finding something you love to sharing a helpful hint.
Save your finds.
Use Ellie Browser in the app to save ideas from different websites. Add priorities, quantities and notes to help people choose.
Share your list.
Send the link to your public wishlist, or share a password-protected list and its password with a chosen few. Private lists stay just for you.
Let them choose.
Givers can reserve a gift for 24 hours or mark it purchased, without creating an account. Purchases happen with the retailer, not through EllieWish.
Good to know.
Can I keep a birthday list just for myself?
Yes. Keep it private while gathering ideas, then change its sharing setting when you are ready. A private list cannot be viewed by other people.
Do friends need an EllieWish account to give a gift?
No. They can open your shared list and reserve a gift or mark it purchased with a giver name. Reservations last 24 hours; their browser session lets them manage their gifts.
Will it spoil my birthday surprise?
Gift activity is kept separate from your usual owner view. You can choose to reveal purchased gifts, so leave the reveal alone if you want to keep the surprise.
